The Best Cancer Book Ever!
![]()
Funny, inspiring and part of the reason for this blog. Many thanks to Nan who knew saw me as a 'cancer babe' who could kick cancer's a** and sent me this book not knowing I had just checked it out form the library. Crazy Sexy Cancer Tips is a great motivator and inspiration. It doesn't have too much technical advise or terms covering different kinds of cancer and whatthey mean , but it is a perfect book to remind yuo to 'get off your butt!'

Angella,
My friend's father ended up with a malignant tumor in his stomach the size of a grapefruit- long story short his sister (who's studied holistic remedies)gave him a special tea every day along with his other treatment - (I beleive chemo and radiation.) His cancer is completely gone after his treatment. Now this sister who gave him the tea, also had a boyfriend with a stage 5 cancer - she gave him the tea and he kicked the cancer completely. Tonight I was in touch with my friend regarding this tea remedy and asked her for receipe. Now mind you her father is the most logical, intelligent man I have ever met. It's not some hocus pocus drink a shot of whiskey kind of cure. Two people in severe cases of cancer have drank the tea faithfully and did recover - is it coincidence? Maybe but what can it hurt trying this tea out? Check in with your doctor regarding the ingredients (which I'm not sure of yet) - as if you didn't know that. I just remember her telling me this a few years ago and was amazed at the great results regarding what we thought was to "the tea". The tea is believed to be a native american medicinal treatment. I just e-mailed my friend tonight and hopefully I hear from her soon. When I receive the receipe for it, I'll send it ASAP. Take care of yourself. I'd love to cook a few dinners and bring them over to your house. Now - you might want to seriously think this through because my cooking is nothing to be desired - but I can make a mean spaghetti sauce and can cook some wicked grilled chicken. It's limited to those two things but -
Please let me do this for you - I can barely make meals for me and my family when I'm feeling well - I can't imagine having to do it when you're feeling crummy! Or tell me what you're craving and I can pick it up for you. I'm really being serious here - dinner's are a pain to cook so let me help you out there -
Angella, give me a time and I'll bring dinner - and if you don't feel like visiting I'll just leave it at the door. If you do that's great too - it's whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Know that I'm here.
How
Take care
Love Kelley

Kelley! Wow ! I am interested in this tea- if you can find the recipe, please let me know. I would also love to visit with you- I'll send a seperate email. Thank you for adding 'please let me do this for you - otherwise I would have just said " Oh no, that's o.k." -even though cooked dinners sound great. Thanks again!

Hi Angella,
I feel silly asking how are you since I probably know the answer. I think you have a great attitude and will get through this and kick cancers butt.
I was not a support goer ( is that a word ) either. I went to one meeting and left there saying I would never return. Most did have worse stories and if you look at it as helping other who need to vent you may find it gratifying. With my three little peanuts at home I could not be that nice at the time.
I will look through my old books for you. Although, I think most are just information. I am sure you have read everything you need to know by now.
Also, if you want any comppany while you sitting for your treatments, I would be happy to sit and chat with you. I never took anyone with me, but it did get rather boring being there for hours. I would eat and then read and then try and sleep. I usually was the youngest person there and didn't have much in common with my fellow chemo guests. Anyway, I will go with you if you are scared or just want someone to talk to.

Angela- I might take you up on your offer. Matt will be going with me for the first time, but after that I will need him to be home on the 'sick' days to play taxi driver etc. I'm trying to get a new laptop out of the whole deal so I can work on somethings while I'm there - but some good ol' face to face company might be nice too! Thanks for the offer - I am getting better at saying 'yes!'
